Chess tournament
|
This time I’ll tell you about chess tournament in our club.
On the 14th October our trainer decided to lead the tournament of the Championship of town. There were about 30 people - 25 boys and 5 girls. Most of the participants have 3rd category. I, S. Pavlov, and E. Meledina have the 1st category. Other people, who have the 1st category, hadn’t come.
For this time I have 5, 5 marks of 6 possible. It’s the best result. On the 28th October there will be the final part of tournament.
There are only 7 or 8 people in our club, who have the 1st category, because it’s difficult to pass it. Most of people have 3rd category, because they came to the club recently. And I go to the chess club about 5 years.

The tournament has finished. There could be much better results, but all of the leaders played bad in the last day, and the results are like: 1st place – I. Egupov, 2nd place – O. Zuev, and Me – only the 3rd place….. In the girls’ tournament results are: 1st – Meledina E., 2nd – Meledina S., and the 3rd – Matveeva Julia.
There will be new tournament on 7th January, and I’ll try to win this tournament.
