I have resumed swimming. Today is December 16th . The best part of the day is morning and I am running to the river.
     It has taken quite a lot of time to find a place for swimming. The lake is under heavy ice as well as a part of the river. Only where the river is narrow (not far from the river head) and the stream is quick it is still unfrozen.
     Well, I have known this place for a long time but even in summer the water is cold and the river is shallow here. So it’s not good for swimming but now I have no much choice. I try to stand on the snow with bare feet – very cold! It forces me to go into the water hoping that there it might be warmer than on the snow. And there it is – a little bit. To retreat OR to swim? That is the question! To retreat! What all this noise about then? I make a quick dip and run back to the shore.
     And what a wonder I do not feel cold at all.
