Embroidery is variety of Russian decorative art and craft. In old Russia girls were taught to embroider when they were small children. Embroidered pictures, clothes, domestic things were pillows, towels, covers… You can embroider in cross, satin-stitch, beads. Nowadays interest to it is survived, but people see in this occupation mostly a hobby. Like me.
My hobby is embroidery. I embroider in cross. This craft became interesting for me, when I was 9 years old. I saw my grandmother sit near the window over the tambour. I noticed how quietly and neatness her arms were with a needle and a thread drawing beautiful figures on the canvas. I wanted to try…And I liked it. Now when I have some free time, I turn on the music and embroider. I like this craft. It helps to relax. Sometimes it helps to solve some problem. What do you have to present to a person on a holiday? I think the present made by your hands is the best present. To my opinion this hobby is as interesting and beneficial.
